Sadly this did Not turn out. What is the 1/4 cup for? No where in directions does it use 1/4 cup.
I’m sorry this recipe didn’t work for you! It was submitted by a user of the site, so I also don’t know what the 1/4 cup is used for.
This recipe worked just fine in our special needs class. It tasted just fine; we added just a bit more sugar. It was a fluffy, cake like treat for our students to make. We adjusted with the picture error showing 1/4 cup but the recipe actually does call for 1/4tsp which is correct. Thank you for the recipe, one of our faves now!
I teach special needs in a middle school and the kids love it. Had to adjust the time depending on the microwave but works every time.
My life skills high school students just made this recipe today. We used the 1/4 C in place of 4 Tbsp of flour (1/4 C + 2Tbsp), since 1/4C=4Tbsp. We also adjusted the chocolate chips, putting in 2 heaping tsp of miniature chocolate chips. After reading the recipe, we decided that we should stir the ingredients after adding them to the mug. We used two different microwaves to cook our mug banana bread for 1 1/2 minutes and the bread looked uncooked, but after about 30 seconds, firmed up and came out well. I loved that this recipe provided lots of measuring practice for my students. We arranged all of the ingredients and tools in order and students walked through assembly line style, measuring and adding each ingredient, then cooking in the microwave. Of my four students who made this recipe, all four gave it a thumbs up.
