Fossil Cookies
Ingredients
1 cup walnuts 2 ¼ cups flour 1 tsp salt 2 sticks butter ¾ cup + 2 T powdered sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract
Steps
1Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Pulse walnuts in food processor
Whisk flour, nuts, and salt
Beat butter, sugar, and vanilla
Roll into 1 1/2" balls
2Lay parchment paper on pan
Press plastic insects into cookie dough (do not leave plastic insects in dough)
Freeze 20 minutes
Bake in oven for 25 minutes
Let cool and enjoy!
