Horchata

Ingredients

 ½ cup water
 ¼ cup white sugar
 ¼ tsp cinnamon
 1 qt rice milk

 

Steps

Place saucepan on counter

Measure 1/2 cup water

Pour water into the pan

Measure 1/4 cup sugar

Add sugar to the pan

Measure 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Add cinnamon to the pan

Place saucepan on stove

Turn burner to medium heat

Hold handle with oven mitt

Whisk mixture for 5 minutes

Turn off the heat

Let mixture cool for 10 minutes

Pour rice milk into the pitcher

Pour sugar water into pitcher

Stir together

Add ice to glass (optional)

Pour horchata in glass or mug
